Embroidery Club

Subject for November:
Create iron on patches out of any embroidery design for those hard to reach spots. All perfect for stocking decorations etc. In addition: create stand alone embroidery designs that are not an iron on patch.

Subject for December:
Christmas ornament/gift/tag holder digitized by Leabu Sewing Center just for the year 2008. This ornament/gift tag/holder is done completely in the hoop. The design which we used last year was one of the most popular classes we have ever created. This project is fast and fun so if needed you can create 50 in time for Christmas.

This monthly class explores different sewing techniques. If you wish to be notified of the specific class project please be sure to ask for your name to be added to our sewing club e mail. An additional e mail is sent approximately one week prior to club with the class description and materials list.

Quilt top in a day, Short Stack by Black Cat Creations
Calling all quilters - beginner and up. Cut and sew a quilt top in a day, including borders, for that someone special on your Christmas list. This adorable fat quarter quilt is fun to make in any color combination. In addition we have made arrangements to have the machine quilting done with plenty of time to put the binding on for your holiday gift giving.

Machine Embroidered Redwork Snowman Wall-hanging
This pattern makes a perfect holiday decoration that can stay up all winter. The pattern includes 24 designs for the 5 x 7 hoop. Learn all the short cuts for perfect results. While your machine is embroidering you will be cutting your fabric strips to piece the wall hanging together. Redwork is a fun and fast embroidery project with stunning results.

Multi-hooping for Beginners
Pack your lunch (probably leftover turkey) and your embroidery machine and have fun with multi-hooping while creating your own Christmas wall hanging. This design sequence put together by Leabu Sewing Center is simple to line up but teaches you the ins and outs of how to achieve accuracy while multi-hooping.
Please note:
When you sign up for this class we will need to know which embroidery machine you own so the templates are accurate. Not all machines are eligible, you will need a 61/4" x 101/4" hoop minimum.
